ASHEVILLE’S BILINGUAL ADVERTISING AGENCY.
What up everyone! Today, I want to tell you of a place I just found, and I find it very unique. In fact, this place makes me go back in time,a time when the biggest locally owned brewery started.
If you have lived in Asheville for a while, you may remember the days when Asheville only had three breweries in town. Two of them made beer out of a pizzeria’s basement and the other one was also a concept involving pizza! (It still is btw)
Anyway, if you miss those days when the local beer industry started, you are going to love OUTSIDER BREWING.
The place has a neighborhood feel, and as soon as you walk in, you are going to be in the middle of their studio, and what I mean by that, is that you are going to watch the folks from Outsider Brewing making beer right before your eyes.
Now, don’t expect to see huge beer containers, no, this place looks more like a lab.
Talking with Julian the owner, it was easy for me to see he is passionate about beer. He told me, his approach to making beer is by brewing in a CRAFT STUDIO, and he is only making small batches, another thing that caught my attention is that Outsider Brewing has a Mexican immigrant making beer yo!
Tony is originally from Tijuana, México. He loves great beer and would love to open his own brewery in Tijuana. His passion is Hip Hop, and btw, he has produced a Cumbia for Pupusa Story, a video clip showcasing immigrants in Asheville.
I think it is great to find Tony in the local beer industry, and hopefully this could lead to more diversity in product, as well as a closer relationship with the rich and overlooked LATINO MARKET.
Bravo Outsider!
OUTSIDER BREWING is located at 939 RIVERSIDE DRIVE
Btw, Outsider is having one of their CRAFT STUDIO SESSIONS ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16. Don’t miss great beer, PERUVIAN CUISINE, LATIN MUSIC, and community, while they make NC Keller.
