INDIAN FOOD is so hot, that you should know it is only SECOND to the restaurants for MEXICAN FOOD in Asheville, when it comes to the choices you have to dine out in our city.
What makes me say this? Well, we all know this town is a food destination, and FYI just in downtown Asheville we have 5 Indian restaurants, yes 5!
And guess what? As you are reading this, I have just learned there is a NEW Indian restaurant coming up to downtown Asheville. That means very soon there are going to be SIX located less than a mile from each other!
This should tell you Asheville for its size, is obsessed with Indian cuisine, and if you are visiting YOU MUST HAVE Indian food in this town because the choices are AWESOME.
Asheville and the world love Indian cuisine, and today I’m going to show you an incredible FISH RECHAD, some mind blowing PORK RIBS glazed in MANGO CHUTNEY, my favorite TANDOORI CHICKEN and CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA.
For dessert a refreshing and very rich and creamy MANGO LASSI. I also had a RAS MALAI and take my word for it, I LOVE INDIAN FOOD and Asheville is lucky to have as many choices.
LAILA INDIAN CUISINE
Is located at 77 Biltmore Ave in downtown Asheville, and it is the sister restaurant of ANDAAZ in Biltmore Village, a restaurant that is considered by many locals, one of the best restaurants in Asheville, and definitely one that has put Asheville in the map as a foodie’s city in the U.S.A.

Laila Indian Cuisine stands out for its authentic flavors and cozy ambiance. Located conveniently downtown, it’s a go-to spot for locals and tourists alike craving a taste of India. And it is conveniently located next to THE ORANGE PEEL, one of the most important music venues in the south.
Andaaz Asheville
It’s sister restaurant to LAILA, and they offer a more upscale dining experience, perfect for special occasions or a romantic night out. Their attention to detail and dedication to quality make it a favorite among food enthusiasts and it is located right outside THE BILTMORE ESTATE, a historic house museum and tourist attraction in Asheville, NC.
